The Nankhatai is an eternal Indian tea time confectionary! The best of them found in old school bakeries across the city. These shortbread melt-in-your-mouth cookies are made traditionally with refined or wheat flour, sugar & fat: either butter, ghee or vanaspati. Some bakeries also add semolina for additional texture and spices like cardamom and nuts to take it up a notch! 

Our version is simply made with besan, rice flour and ghee and then dusted with icing sugar once freshly baked out of the oven. Best enjoyed with coffee by the side!
