The Nankhatai is an eternal Indian tea time confectionary! The best of them found in old school bakeries across the city. These shortbread melt-in-your-mouth cookies are made traditionally with refined or wheat flour, sugar & fat: either butter, ghee or vanaspati. Some bakeries also add semolina for additional texture and spices like cardamom and nuts to take it up a notch!


Our version is simply made with besan, flour and ghee and then dusted with icing sugar once freshly baked out of the oven. Best enjoyed with coffee by the side!
