As we say goodbye to the winters and welcome the summers, there’s one big party just before that, the festival of Holi! We all have such colourful memories of Holi. From sneakily popping balloons at each other, smearing each other from head to toe to enjoying cold frothy glasses of thandai right after, the celebrations of Holi start much before the festival and last even a few days after!
While last year our Holi Collection was inspired by the association of flowers with Holi, this year we wanted to create a collection inspired by the myriad of colours that are deeply ingrained in our minds! Our halwais have prepared treats that will instantly create a colourful sensation in your heart and make your celebration extra vibrant! From our holographic packaging to the sweet treats itself, we will make sure our mithai makes your Dil extra Rangeela this year!
Holi can never be complete without a plate of Gujiyas! Eaten during this time of year, Gujiyas are fried sweet dumplings made with semolina and filled with khoya and nuts. Our halwais decided to add a nutty twist to it. Our Holi sweet box of Gujiyas are filled with kalakand, jaggery, coconut, pista, cashew, chironji and cardamom. These gujiyas are fried in ghee, doused in sugar syrup and then garnished with rose petals. Each bite will make your heart burst with colour! Next up is our Rangeela Fudge. We always wanted to create a new flavour of our classic Bombay 3-Layer fudge and Holi seemed like the perfect occasion. Our ‘Rangeela Fudge’ is not just a change in colour but made with a flavour combination you will not expect. The base of our Rangeela fudge is chocolate peda, layered with orange praline folded into dark chocolate ganache, sealed with a layer of kaju katli. The entire fudge is then sprayed with chocolate spray to create the splish splash effect of Holi! Our Holi sweet box of fudge is the perfect festive gift to send to a loved one, if you can’t celebrate with them in person.
Next up is our classic Chocolate Butterscotch Barks with a Holi makeover. What is Holi without copious amounts of Thandai? The creamy, almost minty concoction that kick starts and ends everyone’s Holi celebration! This time we took a different approach to this inspiration. We decided to add all the nuts that go into a heady glass of thandai into the butterscotch caramel. Our Thandai Choco Barks have two layers of dark chocolate sandwiching one layer of nutty butterscotch with roasted cashews, pistachios, and melon seeds . To add a splash of colour, our barks are garnished with blue cornflower, dried marigold and edible glitter!
